This was the first song that Father gave to me.
We went to New Zealand for three months to be part of the Fatherheart Ministries “Inheriting the Nations School”. During that time we had one morning each week when we could listen to what Father was saying to us personally. For me, hearing God’s voice has been a long process. Because my mind had been so dominant it was not easy to switch of my thinking and just start to listen (doing nothing…). I had a hard time trying to discern “is it God or are these my own thoughts”. As time went on I heard only “just rest” – so I did. When Father speaks to you, you really know that it is Him speaking.
On one morning – I heard this song:
Where are you? Where are you?
I’m here waiting for you,
In your heart – that’s where I’ll always be.
It was at that moment when I had the revelation that He really lives in my heart, physically inside me! Not far away, but closer than my very breath. A few nights before that I’d had a dream. I was looking down to my heart, and there was Jesus, Father and the Holy Spirit having a party! Father was indicating to me with His hand, come and have fun with us!
There are many passages in the Bible that point out how central our heart is in Christianity. There is no Christianity without living from the heart, just religion, doing rights and wrongs, and trying to obey the law. That is sad; how far we have gone from the original Christianity that Jesus came to show us, which was to live in constant relationship with his Father. Doing and saying only what He heard or saw His Father doing. We can never get there if we don’t “go” to our own hearts and start to listen His voice personally for us.
Father speaks to each one of us in a language that we personally can understand. That means he has one language just for you! Just find your heart, and He is there. If you feel you don’t know how to find your heart, just ask Him to help you with that – and He will.
